This seems to be the time of year for resolutions and new goals and that often includes losing weight and improving fitness levels. Obviously we encourage this all-year-round, as maintaining a healthy weight and keeping your body fit and supple contributes massively to your overall health on a long-term basis - whatever your age. If you're planning on taking matters into your own hands please be careful to get the balance right and take your current fitness levels into account before you start exercising. Professional guidance is obviously best, whether it's joining a gym or working with a personal trainer. Make calls, look around places, ask questions and don't be pressured or intimidated into making a decision - choosing what's right for you in the first place will keep you motivated and on track on a long term basis.
